JQ in CC

Time flies, it have been 1mth since I switch him to Full day CC. He was getting better at least this wk he did not refused going school (Crossing my fingers & toes this will keep going). He did not cry when I walked him to school or have teary eyes when I pick him up end of the day! My boy is just like me so emotional, deep inside his heart he is so happy to see me picking him up but can't control his feelings so ended up I also feel like crying when fetching him. I can tell he's more settle, he can sleep and at times he will request to have 2nd round of serving for his lunch. I'm so happy and glad to hear this from his teacher :)

I like his CC K1 & K2 classroom as they are seperated from those playgroup and nusery class. This allow the learning environment to be more conducive. Only the curriculum will be more basic kind but I will know more in details coming Dec as they are having K1 & K2 curriculum sharing session with parents. The principal update me the special child Kylie will be moving with them to K1 next yr and I raise my concern on worrying the teaching will be distrupted or interrupted as teacher need to pay extra attention to Kylie beside the class. She reassured me next yr his teacher will be a senior teacher who have 14yrs experience and will be able to manage the class well. Reason why school make this decision is because she will be 7yrs old next yr and the age gap between her and the nursery toddlers will be big. Besides this the newly promoted nursery class need to get use to her and she need to readjust while she is already settle in boy's class. The special school Kylie is attending have encourage her to mix with normal child to aid her learning. Next yr she will be in the CC for half a day and goes to her special school in the afternoon.

Some backgroud on Kylie - a sweet girl who is normal looking but can't really speak. She goes to special school in the afternoon at 3pm. A harmless little girl who just sit beside teacher and follow whatever the children do in class. She still wear diaper and will only point to things she want, got difficulty in speech. Quite heartache when I first saw her, I was a mother too so I know how her mother feels. Postive thinking will tell me it will be good JQ mixed with her so I can let him knows not everyone is the same like him so fortunate. Recently he like to follow Kylie bite his nails. I told him Kylie is a special child, she don't know biting nails is unhygienic hence she do it. It will a challenge for me to teach and guide him the proper ways to prevent wrong learning in school.

As for Kinderland, I called up ask what queue number I was at and OMG I was #10. Think I wait long long bah. Now I did not think much, will only consider and make a choice if Kinderland calls. Recently there is unhappy indcident between Kinderland and a forum mummy not too sure what actually happened since we are just outsiders and not real party involving in this incident. Always believe there is 2 side to a coin hence don't listen only to one part of the story, who don't side themself right?

I will continue his phonics class at Tulip Montessori as I find he's able to read many words and also can make up the pronunication of some word he don't know which is quite close to the correct sound. Am considering him to learn Chinese next yr either Tien Hsia or Tulip still not decide.

Example of his Reading in short vowels
tom has ten hens on his lap
tim can hop and jot a lot
the lad has a fan and a yam
sam met ben in bus
bob has a job on a jet
an ant has a bag on the web
