She's arrived!

Zhi Qi arrival on 37 weeks of gestation was a surprised to me. My c-sect was planned in wk38 on 8th July but she decided to arrive early :)

My unexpected birth plan:
30 Jun: Was feeling sored at vaginal area and painful when walking after work.

1 Jul: Went to see gynae first thing in the morning and Dr Lisa checked my cervix which not yet open but started to feel mild contractions hence asked me to do a CTG to monitor my ZQ. Shortly was asked to do the c-sect today as we won't know how the contraction will progress and do not want it to turn out to be emergency c-sect.

As this is too sudden to me, I have requested Dr Lisa to let me go back to office to do some handover job. As promised I must admit myself back to hospital at 12.30pm latest.

Was brought to the maternity ward at 1plus with nurse start to ask some question and signed some consent form, busy with all the preparation before the Op.

Ard 2.30pm was pushed to OT waiting area without hubby accompany as he had to wait outside the theatre. Waited till 2.45pm, finally being pushed to the OT. Dr Lisa was there and my anesthetist Dr Boey was on standby to KNOCK ME OUT! By the breathing of 1,2,3 .... was totally knocked out.

Awaked at 4plus feeling very nauseous & drowsy ... the feeling is terrible, want to vomit with the wound was so painful. Was drowsy throughout and recover the next morning.

2 Jul: Drip and urine tube was removed and manage to come down the bed to go toilet pass urine with the help of the nurse. Legs was wobbling but much better after a few trips to toilet :)

3 Jul: Requested for early discharged and was allowed by Dr Lisa hence was able to go home on evening.

Finally Home Sweet Home and my confinement start ....
